Police release CCTV image of Pizza Land attacker
West Midlands Police have appealed for witnesses after releasing CCTV images of a man they want to find after an assault at a fast food outlet in Selly Oak earlier this year
Officers were called to Pizza Land on Bristol Road in Selly Oak in the early hours of Saturday 25th February 2012.
A man allegedly walked into the shop and made an offensive comment to the victim before punching him in the face. The 23-year-old subsequently fell to the ground and lost consciousness, suffering a broken jaw.
Detective Constable Louise Corcoran, from Force CID, said:
This was a serious unprovoked assault which left the victim requiring surgery. Despite extensive enquiries we have not been able to identify the man in these images and are asking for the public's help to find him. We need to catch the person responsible and ensure justice is done.
Anyone with information should call Force CID on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
